KZNA CIRCULAR 73 OF 2025 – THE UNISA BACHELOR OF EDUCATION ARTICULATION IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SPORT COACHING PROGRAMME IN THE PROVINCE OF KWAZULU-NATAL

Dear Members,

THE UNISA BACHELOR OF EDUCATION ARTICULATION IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SPORT COACHING PROGRAMME IN THE PROVINCE OF KWAZULU-NATAL

“The KZN Provincial Government in its pursuit to achieve the target of 6000 qualified trained physical education specialists for all the schools in the KZN Province, in line with its KZN Human Resources and Development Strategy(KZNHRD), and KZN Provincial Growth and Development Strategy (KZNPGDS-2030), through its KZN Department of Education, KZN Department of Sport, Arts and Culture in collaboration with the KZN Sport Confederation, KwaZulu-Natal Skills Development Institute for Physical Education KZN-SDIPE and University of South Africa-UNISA, are inviting all those learners who have completed Grade 12 and those unemployed graduate students in the Province of KwaZulu-Natal, who have an interest to study towards a UNISA NQF Level 7 Bachelor of Education Degree, and Higher Certificate in Education at NQF Level 5, articulating with the Qualifications offered through the TVET Colleges in Physical Education and Sport Coaching at NQF Levels 4 and 5 Science of Coaching.”

KwaZulu-Natal Athletics has been one of the sporting codes identified and requested to submit candidates (athletes, officials, coaches) that are currently active in athletics and would like to take on this opportunity of qualifying themselves. We would like to request our members (clubs) to assist us in the identification of these candidates that meet the minimum requirements and encourage them to follow these steps:

1. Fill out the google form using the following link – https://forms.gle/zV1JmhePgP6JPN54A
2. Complete the attached application form
3. Email the completed form accompanied by their academic record/results and a copy of the Identity Document to the KwaZulu-Natal Athletics office,
4. All applications must reach Ms. Happiness Mkhize at support@kznathletics.co.za and copy development@kznathletics.co.za by Monday, 12:00 on the 8th of September 2025.
